DOC IMA LEO
DOC IMA LEO is a 1994 buckskin stallion. When we started him, he took to a saddle and
cows like second nature. We had the misfortune of losing DOC IMA LEO to a severely broken hind leg last fall. A great loss for our program. This will be his last colt crop.
DOC IMA LEO is an own son of the great Docs Decatholon that did such a tremendous job for
the Cragos in South Dakota by siring world champion team penning horses. Docs
Decatholon sired by Doc O Lon, NCHA Certificate of Ability, ROM Cutting and 1982
Congress NCHA Open Cutting Champion possesses 5/8th the blood of the legendary mare,
Poco Lena.
"Doc" is a big, powerful stallion measuring 15.2 1/2 hands and weighing 1285
pounds in breeding condition.
"Doc's" colts have a little more leg than our other stallions as well as
being athletic, easy-going, conformationally correct, good boned, with cow sense and
his smooth way of moving. His solid foundation pedigree provides a strong influence of
Poco Bueno.
DOC IMA LEO sired the 2003 World Champion Jr Heading Palomino horse. His blood will be carried in our program through the large number of daughters we have retained. |
