MERADA IMA BOONSMAL
The latest edition to our stallion battery is MERADA IMA BOONSMAL. Nancy and I have long admired the Peptoboonsmals and have looked at a lot of them to find one to fit our program. We think Merada Ima Boonsmal is the horse to do that. A pretty blue roan horse with no white, good withers, bone and a really nice little head. He is a super athletic son of Peptoboonsmal, one of the hottest cutting horse sires in the nation. Peptoboonsmal won the 1995 NCHA Open Futurity. Merada Site is an own daughter of Freckles Merada and has an LTE of $17,700. This is definitely a cow horse pedigree that enhances our program.
MERADA IMA BOONSMAL combines the royal cross of Peptoboonsmal/Freckles Merada and presents a great cross back on Smart Little Lena and Doc O’Lena mares.
“Boonsmal” stands 14.3 hands and weighs 1050 pounds.
“Boonsmal” was trained and shown by Gary Bellenfant and he made the finals at the PCCHA Futurity in California in 2002. He ended up ninth out of 325 horses. I had the fortunate opportunity to show him a little last winter winning over $1000 on him and receiving my Achievement Award from NCHA. David has also been showing and winning money on him. Merada Ima Boonsmal has LTE $14,400+. We feel very fortunate to own a horse of this caliber.
MERADA IMA BOONSMAL sired the high averaging weanlings in 2005 and 2006 of our production sale. We have had excellent feedback from buyers and are looking forward to presenting this year's colts.
